On 18 December, the United Nations´ General Assembly approved the resolution for a moratorium to abolish the death penalty.
Marco Delogu met Shuja Graham, one of the twenty "dead men" acknowledged as innocent and released, last year, on 30 November, world day against the death penalty eve, the greatest international mobilization so far, born thanks to an initiative of the Community of Sant´Egidio.
From that day on, he photographs these men, survived to a destiny often unfair for the guilts that are attributed, every time he can: the last one, few days ago, was Kerry Max Cook.
Close ups, as in his own style, always dyptichs: eyes closed and then opened, as if reminding the world that one can finally see. A way to support what represents an historical achievement for the defence of human rights.
